Why has has the SPITA website a black
background?
As you can see, our website is with a nearly
complete black background.
The reason for this is not to attract
attention, but simply to save power!
Since the publication of our first website in
2001 with black
background, we have saved approx. 2000 Kwh of
energy.
We are surprised, that despite all the
discussions about climate
change and energy saving, there are only a few
"environmentally
friendly" websites.
Do you know that, if the Google search engine
was using a black
background, this would result in a worldwide saving of
at least
3000 megawatts per year?
SPITA will continuously search for
solutions to save the environment, which will also offer a reduction in
costs for our customers.
